This Privacy Policy explains how AIMS SECURE collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the AIMS SECURE mobile application, web portal, and related backend services.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use AIMS SECURE, we may collect and process the following information:

• Account information, such as your email address and encrypted password credentials.
• Vehicle information that you enter into the app, such as vehicle name, license plate number, and selected parking site codes.
• Parking and vehicle status information returned by the AIMS parking system, such as car park, level, lot number, capture time, parking area, lock status, and related parking image URL when available.
• App connection settings stored on your device, such as the API server URL, login token, and signed-in email address.
• Basic technical information needed to operate the service, such as request logs, error logs, server timestamps, and network information.

Location Data

AIMS SECURE displays parking location information for your registered vehicle when this information is available from the connected AIMS parking system. This may include the car park name, level, lot number, area, capture time, and parking image URL.

The current Android app requests Internet access only. It does not request Android device location permission and does not collect GPS location from your phone unless a future version clearly asks for that permission and you allow it.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Create and authenticate user accounts.
• Show your registered vehicles and parking status.
• Search for vehicle parking location and lock status.
• Enable vehicle lock and unlock actions where supported by the connected parking system.
• Maintain security, troubleshoot issues, prevent misuse, and improve reliability.
• Comply with legal, operational, or safety requirements.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share or exchange information only when needed to operate the service, including with the connected AIMS parking system, hosting providers, database providers, IT support providers, or when required by law.

Data Storage and Security

Account data and app service data may be stored on our backend server and database. Passwords are stored using one-way encryption/hashing and are not stored as plain text. The app may store your login token, signed-in email, and API server URL locally on your device so that the app can stay connected.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide AIMS SECURE, maintain records, resolve issues, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate business operations. You may request deletion of your account or personal information using the contact details below.

Your Choices and Rights

You may:

• Update or remove vehicle information in the app where the feature is available.
• Sign out of the app to remove the active login session from your device.
• Clear app storage from your device settings to remove locally stored app data.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

AIMS SECURE is intended for vehicle owners, authorized users, and parking operators. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Third-Party Links and Services

The app or web portal may link to external websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
